CBD oil with its natural terpenes and cannabinoids, except THC.

CANNABIDIOL
Abbreviated to CBD, the second most active and non-intoxicating compound in the cannabis and hemp plants.

CANNABIGEROL
Abbreviated to CBG, the parent molecule from which other cannabinoids are synthesized. Considered a minor cannabinoid because it is present in low levels (less than 1%) in cannabis strains.

CANNABINOID
Any of the various naturally-occurring, biologically active, compounds isolated from cannabis or hemp, including THC, CBD, CBG, and CBN.

CANNABINOL
Abbreviated to CBN, a mildly psychoactive constituent of cannabis and hemp that comes from the breakdown of the psychoactive cannabinoid THC.

CANNABIS
A class of three plants with psychoactive properties, known as cannabis sativa, cannabis indica, and cannabis ruderalis.

CBD
Also called cannabidiol, the second most active and non-intoxicating compound in the cannabis and hemp plants.

CBD-A
Abbreviated from cannabidiolic-acid, an acidic cannabinoid and the naturally-occurring raw form of CBD produced directly in the plant.

CB1
A central nervous system cannabinoid receptor.

CB2
A peripheral nervous system cannabinoid receptor.

CBD OIL
A cannabidiol-rich extract of the hemp or cannabis sativa plant that uses a carrier oil and is applied sublingually.

CBN
Also called cannabinol, a mildly psychoactive constituent of cannabis and hemp that comes from the breakdown of the psychoactive cannabinoid THC.

CO2 EXTRACTION
A method in which plant compounds, such as cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds from the raw hemp or cannabis plant, are pulled out using pressurized carbon dioxide.

ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM
A cell-signaling network of neurotransmitters and their receptors found throughout the body.

ENTOURAGE EFFECT
The combined effect of different cannabis compounds working synergistically to modulate the psychoactive effects of the plant.

FULL-SPECTRUM CBD
A CBD product that has retained all its naturally-occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds. Also known as raw CBD.

HEMP SEED OIL
An extract from the cannabis sativa plant that has low concentrations of cannabinoids but are a potent source of omega fatty acids and other nutrients.

HYBRID
A cannabis strain that contains both indica and sativa, allowing for the effects of both. Some hybrids being more sativa- or indica-dominant.

INDICA
Also known as kush, a cannabis strain with a sedating effect on the body high that generally produces a feeling of relaxation and tranquility. However, some strains may make you feel euphoric and focused.

ISOLATE CBD
Cannabidiol molecules extracted from CBD-rich hemp oil, assuming a white, crystalline form that is easily crushed into powder. Also the purest form of CBD, though highly processed.

KUSH
A strain of cannabis indica originating from the Hindu Kush mountain range of Afghanistan, Northern Pakistan, and North-Western India.

MARIJUANA
A psychoactive narcotic rendered from the dried resinous flower buds and leaves of the hemp or cannabis plant. Also called weed, pot, grass, bud, ganja, Mary Jane, and other other slang terms.

PRECURSOR
A substance from which another is formed, especially by metabolic reaction. CBG is a precursor for CBD and THC.

PSYCHOACTIVE
A substance that affects brain chemistry, causing changes in mood, awareness, thoughts, feelings, or behaviour.

SATIVA
A subspecies of cannabis that energizes and uplifts the mood, and may inspire greater productivity and creativity.

SUPERCRITICAL CO2 EXTRACTION
Similar to the CO2 extraction method, denotes the change from CO2 in its gas form to its liquid form when exposed to higher temperature and pressure.

TERPENES
Aromatic oils found in cannabis (and other plants) secreted by the same glands that produce THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids. They give cannabis its characteristic scent.

THC
Also known as tetrahydrocannabinol, a type of cannabinoid found in cannabis that is responsible for most of the psychoactive effects of marijuana.
